Beyond Anaplan Connect or ADO

Reach the Anaplan data other integrations leave behind

Getting data into Anaplan is rarely the hard part. Getting it clean, mapped and trusted is. Nexadata does that work upstream with AI copilots, and reads the tenant data your models never see.

At a glance

Into Nexadata

  • Export actions in your models
  • Audit events, users and workspaces
  • Models, imports, exports and processes

Back into Anaplan

  • Upload only
  • Upload and import
  • Upload and process

Authentication

Connect with Basic Authentication or OAuth.

  • SOC 2 Type II
  • Zero data retention
  • SSO / SAML / RBAC
  • Cloud-agnostic

The platform processes your data. An LLM never touches it.

The connector

What the Anaplan connector does

One harmonized dataset. Every source it came from.

Three AI agents do the work. Connector Copilot reads any OpenAPI or OData spec and stands up a live connection, with no prebuilt connector to wait on. Transform Copilot preps the data in plain English. Mapping Copilot aligns source values to your model, including conditional account logic. You approve the plan before anything runs.

Nexadata preps the data. ADO orchestrates it.

Nexadata is the upstream AI-powered integration and transformation layer. ADO, the Anaplan Data Orchestrator, is the Anaplan-native staging and distribution engine. Together they cover the full pipeline. Nexadata leads on AI copilots for connect, transform and map, connectivity to any OpenAPI or OData system, conditional mapping and sign-flip, and drillback with a human in the loop. ADO leads on native staging, actionless integration to spoke models, delta and incremental loading, and Anaplan-native orchestration.

Turn Anaplan audit logs into answers

Anaplan records every user action as a numeric event code, which is precise and unreadable. Nexadata translates those codes into plain English and joins the user, workspace, model and action context onto every event, then runs the whole thing on a schedule. It is free, and it does not spend your free use case.

Integration you can just ask for

Nexadata ships a full MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP-capable agent can build and run Nexadata workflows conversationally. Describe the integration in chat and it creates the workflow, adds the datasets, and wires up the pipelines and mappings. Trigger a run the same way. Agents orchestrate on metadata, and your data is never processed or moved by the model.

Sources

Connect what feeds it

Anaplan is the destination. Everything below can feed it, and you are not limited to a fixed catalog: if a system has an OpenAPI or OData spec, the Connector Copilot reads it and builds a working connection, with no prebuilt connector to wait on.

How it works

From source system to Anaplan

Connect, transform, map, review. Each step is guided by a no-code copilot, and you approve the plan before anything runs.

  1. 01

    Connect

Create the Anaplan connection with Basic Authentication or OAuth, then point the Connector Copilot at your source systems. Anything with an OpenAPI or OData spec is reachable without a prebuilt connector.

  2. 02

    Transform

Join, filter and reshape source data into the grain your Anaplan model expects, described in plain language to the Transform Copilot rather than written as a script.

  3. 03

    Map

Align source values to the list members and hierarchies already in your model, including conditional account logic, so the import action receives what it expects instead of failing on an unrecognized identifier.

  4. 04

    Review

Check the pipeline before it runs, and see who changed a mapping group, what changed, how and when. Column mismatches surface here rather than inside Anaplan.

Partnership

An Anaplan technology partner

Anaplan is Nexadata's technology partnership, which is why the connector reaches past export actions into the tenant data most integration tools never surface.

Questions

Anaplan integration FAQ

How does Nexadata work with ADO?
They cover different parts of the same pipeline. Nexadata is the upstream AI-powered integration and transformation layer: it connects the source systems, harmonizes what comes back and maps it to your model. ADO, the Anaplan Data Orchestrator, is the Anaplan-native staging and distribution engine that takes prepared data onward to your spoke models. Nexadata leads on AI copilots, connectivity to any OpenAPI or OData system, conditional mapping and sign-flip, and drillback with a human in the loop. ADO leads on native staging, actionless integration to spoke models, delta and incremental loading, and Anaplan-native orchestration. Run them together and the full pipeline is covered.
Is there an MCP server I can use for Anaplan integration?
Nexadata ships one. Point Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP-capable client at it and you can create workflows, add and configure datasets, build pipelines and mappings, execute runs and inspect run state and history, all in conversation. The agent works on metadata only, meaning names, schemas and run state. Your data is never processed or moved by the model.
Does Nexadata support Anaplan OAuth?
Yes. You can connect with Basic Authentication using your Anaplan username and password, or with OAuth using a client ID and secret from your tenant's Authorization Code Grant setup. Either way the credentials are encrypted in Nexadata's secrets manager.
Can I extract Anaplan audit logs, users and workspaces?
Yes, and Nexadata is the first production-supported way to do it. The Export Type selector pulls audit events, users, workspaces and CloudWorks jobs at tenant level, plus models, imports, exports, actions, processes and files within a workspace. It arrives as a structured dataset you can join, transform and schedule, rather than a community script you clone and maintain yourself.
How does Nexadata load data into Anaplan?
Three ways, depending on how much you want automated. Upload only places the file in a data source. Upload and import runs a chosen import action on arrival. Upload and process executes a full Anaplan process, including any preconfigured actions inside it.
Can I load unstructured and semi-structured data into Anaplan?
Yes. Supplier and freight invoices, bank statements, board reports, and month-end workbooks with a logo and title rows above the data are all valid inputs. For a PDF, Nexadata finds the tables in the document, reassembles any that run across a page break, and saves your decisions as a template, so next period's document in the same layout needs no setup at all. For a workbook you point at the sheet and the cell where the data actually starts. A 600-page quarterly report is as legitimate an input as a two-page invoice.
What happens if my columns do not match the Anaplan data source?
The import action runs and Anaplan rejects what it cannot accept, and Nexadata shows you that result rather than a generic failure. You see it per action, with Anaplan's own detail, including the line item identifiers it did not recognize, so you can fix the mapping without going into Anaplan to find out what went wrong.
